Appleton Papers to merge with Hicks Acquisition Company II

US specialty paper manufacturer Appleton Papers Inc announced that it will combine its business with Hicks Acquisition Company II.The merger deal is valued at $675m, according to the parties involved. Completion of the transaction is expected for July 2012. Once the transaction is closed Appleton will change its corporate name to Appvion and will be listed on the Nasdaq exchange.Hicks Acquisition Company II a special purpose acquisition company with about $ 149.3m of cash in trust, it is learnt.
