Lasse Brinck acquires Lana Papiers Speciaux

A buyer has been found for the French company Lana Papiers Speciaux. The Danish entrepreneur Lasse Brinck announced in a statement that he had acquired the Strasbourg-based specialty paper producer, which had been under administration since the start of the year. The Strasbourg commercial court accepted Brinck's takeover offer and the acquisition was completed on 8 October, a company spokesman said. According to Mr Brinck, Lana will continue producing security, art, graphic and technical papers. However, the new management plans to further develop the business units and create new connections between them. "There is no doubt that Lana will need new innovations going into the future", said Mr Brinck. He told EUWID he planned to focus on counterfeit protection for luxury products such as brand-name wines, liquors and perfumes.
