CTS Invest to modernise Pitkyaranta pulp mill

CTS Invest is planning extensive modernisation measures at JSC Pitkyaranta. According to an official report by the Republic of Karelia, the company is adopting an ambitious programme to continue development of the Russian pulp manufacturers' output. The total volume of the planned investment for the next three years is said to amount to approximately RUB2bn, roughly €47m. Production operations are currently at a standstill at the Pitkyaranta mill due to a lack of wood. The pulp mill has been in an observation phase since October 2012, bankruptcy proceedings were initiated in April this year.
