US packaging company Graphic Packaging Holding Company has changed its plans for its British sites. While the company had previously only planned to make job cuts, the company has now decided to close the Gillingham container mill for good. A 45-day consultation with employee representatives was started on 5 June and negotiations with employee representatives have begun, the company informed. A closure of the site would potentially mean the loss of 170 jobs.
