A balanced market and good ordering activity at last enabled pulp manufacturers to get the full increase of $20/metr.t they had been striving for since March. The majority of contracts were signed at higher prices. Capacity utilisation in the hardwood segment was better than in the softwood segment and therefore it was said to have been easier to persuade customers.
