Holmen modernises two sawmills for SEK55m

Holmen Timber will invest approximately SE-K55m in the expansion and modernisation of its two sawmills in Braviken and Iggesund. SEK25m is to be invested in Iggesund and SEK30m in Braviken. According to information supplied by Johan Padel, CEO of Holmen Timber, the investments were authorised recently by the board of the mother company Holmen Group, headquartered in Stockholm. Holmen Timber has not yet placed any orders with machine manufacturers. According to Padel, decisions concerning orders for machines are to be taken by the end of the year. No significant extensions are to be made to the existing buildinas.
