After conducting a feasability study, Stora Enso has now decided to implement the conversi-on of its Finnish Varkaus fine paper mill into a kraftliner mill and has disclosed more details on the project. The Company announced it would cease production of uncoated fine paper at the mill by the end of August 2015 and undertake conversion work at the site in autumn of the sa-me year. Production of kraftliner was scheduled to Start during the fourth quarter of 2015, Stora Enso added. The Company will invest €110m in this project with most of the costs being caused by the conversion work required on the paper machine and the pulp mill.
