PTT anticipates increasing deliveries and exports in several sectors of the Finnish forest industry

Finnish research institute Pellervo Economic Research PTT has submitted an overall positive forecast for the Finnish forest industry. Although the institute still believes the outlook for the paper industry is a gloomy one, it is expecting a growth in volumes and deliveries in the paperboard, pulp, and sawnwood segments. PTT holds the view that, all in all, the situation for the Finnish forest industry will improve thanks to the global economic growth and the slight economic recovery in Europe.
