ICT considering third tissue machine for its Polish site

Italian hygiene paper manufacturer Industrie Cartarie Tronchetti (ICT) is considering to install a new tissue machine with a capacity of 70,000 tpy at its Kostrzyn plant in Poland. A company spokesman told EUWID that ICT planned to expand its capacities but was currently examining investment options in different countries where it has plants. Should the decision fall on Poland, which the spokesman said is the most likely option, the new machine might start operating in the third quarter of 2015. In addition to a new tissue machine, ICT would also add converting capacities to the site and increase the number of employees. ICT Poland already operates two tissue machines and several converting lines at the Kostrzyn plant which is located near the German border, around 90 km east of Berlin. The site has a combined capacity of around 140,000 tpy and just under 400 employees.
