Cartonboard business boosts Holmen's Q3 results

Despite a shrinking market and declining prices in the publication paper segment, the Holmen group has reported slightly improved results in the first nine months of the year. Thanks to cost reductions and an increase in deliveries and sales in the cartonboard business, Holmen posted operating profit of SEK1.32bn (2014:1.26bn). Sales grew to SEK12.33bn (11.98bn). The lower sales prices forpublication paper and sawn timberwere partially offset by the weaker exchange rate of the Swedish krona.
