Voith Group and Voith Paper improve results

Voith succeeded in improving its balance sheet in its 2014/2015 financial year (ending on 30 September 2015). The main reason for success was the group-wide Voith 150+ programme and the discernible impact of the programme's portfolio optimisation and efficiency improvement measures, reports Voith. According to Voith, all group divisions furnished proof of their robust form last year and made a significantly positive contribution to the group's operating result. The company adds that the development of Voith Paper in particular was good news: the division's profit from operations leaped from €9m to €58m, thereby demonstrating the success of measures initiated and implemented to adapt the division's structure to its changed market situation. Sales rose from €1.43bn to around €1.5bn - thanks, among others, to the revival of project business. Voith Paper's order intake totalled around €1.5bn and therefore also exceeded the figure of the previous year.
