Prinzhorn Group plans new PM for Spremberg mill

Hamburger Rieger, a Prinzhorn Holding company and part of the Hamburger Containerboard division, is considering to expand paper manufacturing capacities and has started the approval procedure to set up a second containerboard machine at the Spremberg mill in Germany. The current permission is expiring in January 2017, the Prinzhorn Holding said in a press release on 12 October. According to the press release, the new paper machine will have a width of 7.9 m and is designed for annual production capacity of 493,000 t of containerboard. The €370m investment will create 200 new jobs. The new permission is expected to be granted in January 2017.
