Tranlin changes name, signs design contract with Jacobs

Tranlin Inc, the US based subsidiary of China's pulp and paper manufacturer Shandong Tranlin Paper Company, has changed its name to Vastly. The new name is said to capture in a better way the company's mission and its growing aspirations. Vastly plans to invest $2bn to build an integrated production and converting site for pulp, tissue paper and products and fertilisers in the Chesterfield County in the US state of Virginia. The company has recently awarded a contract to Jacobs Engineering Group to lead permit acquisition and provide design services for the greenfield project.
