Groupe Hamelin to sell Canson subsidiary in Annonay

French office supplies provider Groupe Hamelin is planning to sell its French subsidiary Canson to Italian company FILA (Fabbrica Italiana Lapis ed Affini). The two companies report that the appropriate talks began when FILA submitted a takeover offer. The deal is expected to be completed in October 2016. Canson is located in Annonay south of Lyon and produces and distributes art and craft papers. The company founded in 1557 operates production facilities in France and conversion and distribution centres in France, Italy, the USA, Brazil, China, and Australia. Canson has over 450 employees and generated more than €100m in sales revenue in 2015.
