Voith sells Industrial Services business to German private equity firm Triton

German machine and plant engineering company Voith is selling its industrial services unit to the Frankfurt-based private equity firm Triton. The two sides agreed that Triton will acquire a majority stake in the Voith Industrial Services division and continue it under a new name with new branding. Voith will retain a stake of 20% and will "accompany the transition", according to the press release. Voith Industrial Services has around 18,000 employees worldwide and generates more than €1 bn in sales as "the world's largest service supplier for the automotive industry".
