Holmen's Hallsta mill back at full capacity

The Swedish Hallsta mill of Holmen group is now running at full capacity once again after the fire that broke out last November. This was reported by Swedish mechanical engineering and consulting firm AF that had been entrusted with the repair work. On 20 November last year, a fire broke out at the plant's pulp line, which caused a complete stoppage of production. As early as 2 December, the PM12 was able to resume production of book paper. The TMP line and the PM 11, which produces magazine paper, resumed production after delays at the end of February. However, at that time the lines did not yet work at full capacity. The two machines at the Hallsta mill have a total production capacity of slightly more than 550,000 tpy of book paper and uncoated magazine paper.
