NBSK pulp manufacturers succeed in raising their sales prices for August

Negotiations between suppliers and buyers of northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp to settle on prices for August contracts took longer than normal this time around. Not all contracts had been signed and sealed yet, even at the start of the second full week in September. Outstanding deals were supposed to be wrapped up at the Europulp/Utipulp annual event in Barcelona at the latest, a few sources said.
