Kemira starts up new sodium chlorate line in Joutseno

Specialty and process chemicals company Kemira has started operations at a new line producing sodium chlorate in Joutseno, Finland.The company said it was already shipping the product to customers, ahead of the original schedule. Kemira announced the project in April 2016 and at the time expected it to start up in the fourth quarter of this year. The company expects the line to reach full capacity by the end of this year. Overall, it said it was investing around €50m in this project.
