New board capacity and higher pulp prices are boosting Metsa Group's profits

Metsa' Group was successful in the first half of 2017. Sales rose by almost 5% to €2.45bn, while the operating result totalled €253.4m and was therefore 12% higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The net profit climbed by 34% to €192.8m. Cash flow from current operations amounted to €190m in the first half of 2017, reports the Finnish group, i.e., €70m more than in the comparable 2016 period.
