Georgia-Pacific selling parts of its Chemicals division

Georgia-Pacific is selling part of its chemical business to Ingevity, a North American manufacturer of chemicals and materials on a carbon basis. The Pine Chemicals division being put up for sale, which deals with materials arising from manufacturing pine pulp, such as tall oil fatty acids, tall resins, and tall oil esters, generates approximately 90% of its sales in North America and has some 70 employees.The products are used in adhesives, cleaning agents, paints, and coatings.
