摘要

The surplus supply of wood for mechanical pulping that had already been emerging in April in southern Germany in particular has become more pronounced during the course of May. In the last two months, some forest businesses had caught up with timber harvesting measures originally scheduled for the first quarter of the year and the volumes put out for collection in May were thus higher than converters had planned to take delivery of in that period. This surplus supply is particularly noticeable in the fringes of southern German converters'purchas-ing regions.
