Nine Dragons orders two machines from Valmet

Valmet has been awarded an order for supplying two machines that Chinese paper and board manufacturer Nine Dragons Paper plans to erect at its Quanzhou and Chongqing plants. Valmet reports that Nine Dragons intends to install a new containerboard production line at each of the two plants. PM 39 in Quanzhou and PM 40 in Chongqing are to produce testliner and fluting with grammages ranging between 75-140 g/ m~2. According to Nine Dragons, the Quanzhou machine will have a capacity of 350,000 tpy, while the new PM at the Chongqing facility will offer 550,000 tpy in capacity. The company expects commissioning in the fourth quarter of 2018.
