Lee & Man starts up four new tissue machines

Chinese paper and board manufacturer Lee & Man has enlarged its tissue capacity. Machine-engineering company Valmet has reported that Lee & Man has put four new machines supplied by Valmet into service at its mill in Chongqing. According to the information received, the machines each have an annual capacity of 60,000 t and produce virgin fibre-based toilet paper and facial tissue. Both wood and bamboo fibres are used as raw material. The machines have a width of 5.6 m and can run at a speed of 2,000 m/min.
