Start-up of Bracell's new pulp line ahead of schedule

Singapore-based speciality pulp producer Bra-cell is poised to commission a new pulp line in Brazil. One of the two new lines, which have a combined capacity of 2.75 million tpy, at Lencois Paulista in Brazil's Sao Paulo state will start production ahead of schedule in August. The second line will come online two weeks later. Although the company had announced the official start in the third quarter of 2021, many industry insiders do not expect the launch before the fourth quarter of the year or even in early 2022. Bracell did not respond to enquiries regarding the timeline.
