Stora Enso intensifies research in biomaterials

Stora Enso will soon start joint research activities with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences on sustainable forestry and wood-based bio-materials.The collaboration with the university will focus on biodiversity, growth and yield-adapted forest management, remote sensing technology and life cycle analysis. The goal of the collaboration is to develop new wood products which could replace materials derived from fossil fuels, Stora Enso explains.Ten new positions will be created at the university for various research projects as part of the collaboration.
