摘要

Stowarzyszenie Papiernikow Polskich (SPP), the association of Polish paper manufacturers, called upon the Polish government to recognise compa-nies of the paper industry as systemically relevant businesses. In a letter to the responsible Deve-lopment Minister, Jadwiga Emilewicz, dated 25 March the SPP demanded that these companies be exempt from the restrictions accompanying the measures to counter the spread of the corona-virus, and most notably from shutdown periods imposed by the authorities. SPP said businesses that should be exempt from the restrictions are paper and corrugated board producers as well as manufacturers of packaging made from the- se materials. The association also referred to the fact that a number of EU member states e.g. Italy and Finland had already recognised companies operating in the paper industry to be critical in-frastructure.
