Nova Institute expects demand for cellulose fibres to grow at annual rates of 5-10 per cent

At the 1st International Conference on Cellulose Fibres held in Cologne on 11 February, German research and consultancy Nova Institute focussed among other things on markets, technologies and sustainability for alternative cellulose raw mate-rials. According to Nova Institute, cellulose fibres have been a copybook success story in the textile market showing a cumulative annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5 to 10 per cent in the last ten years. Moreover, the institute is expecting that the seg-ment might achieve similar growth rates again in the next decade.
