IP inaugurates Madrid mill, asset swap in Spain completed

International Paper (IP) has staged an official inauguration ceremony at the IP Madrid paper mill in Fuenlabrada, Spain, in the last week of March. The former Holmen newsprint mill was acquired by IP in 2016 and converted into a recycled containerboard mill. The site houses a single paper machine with a production capacity of 400,000 tpy of recovered fibre-based flutings and liners.
