Stora Enso mulls commercial downtime at Ingerois board mill

Stora Enso is considering taking downtime and curbing output at the Ingerois board mill in Fin land due to market reasons. The company started co-determination negotiations on potential tem porary layoffs of the Ingerois mill staff on 6 May and expects the talks to last some two weeks time. According to Stora Enso, the co-determination process involves up to 180 people that could be temporarily laid off for a maximum of 90 days in the period between 1 June and 31 December 2019.The company blames its decision on a"short term demand/supply imbalance and high raw ma terial costs".
