EC clears sale of Lagardere's magazine operations

The European Commission (EC) approved the sale of the French magazine operations of media group Lagardere to Czech Media Invest. The Commission had been notified of the proposed transaction in spring last year. The Commission arrived at the conclusion that the planned takeover does not give rise to any competition concerns because it only has minor effects on the market structure in Europe.
