Metsae Group and Metsae board post profit growth in 2018 from higher prices and deliveries

Finnish Metsae Group benefited in 2018 from growth in prices and deliveries in virtually all segments, enabling the company to post year-on-year growth in sales, earnings as well as profit. Metsae Board reports higher sales (€1.95bn) as well as marked growth in earnings (€246m) and profit (€203m) compared with the previous year. Rising prices of folding boxboard, white-top kraftliner and pulp in conjunction with higher deliveries were the key drivers for robust full-year performance.
