SCA stops NBSK pulp production at OEstrand mill, final rebuilding measures for expansion underway

SCA has stopped its Ostrand mill ahead of the maintenance break for rebuilding. Production at the pulp mill in Timra had been halted on 11 April, a spokesman told EUWID, adding that final installation works for expansion of the production facility was currently underway. SCA had originally announced that the rebuilding measures at the site and integration of the new pulp mill would take roughly 45 days.The company meanwhile reckons with a much longer break.The pulp line is expected to resume operation in June. It is estimated that the maintenance break will represent a production shortfall of around 60,0001 of pulp.
