Paper Excellence has new plans for Canadian Prince Albert pulp mill

Paper Excellence Canada is currently reviewing the restart of the Prince Albert Pulp mill. Idled twelve years ago, the production facility in Saskatchewan province could be upgraded to produce 1,050 tpd of northern bleached softwood sulphate pulp in future, the company said. The news marks the departure of the holding company's earlier plans to produce either dissolving or fluff pulp at the site. Furthermore, the site would supply power to Canadian utility Sask Power, informed Kathy Cloutier, head of corporate communications at Paper Excellence in response to a question.
