Next price steps on the horizon of the German woodfree paper market

A few producers of uncoated fine paper have dared to make the first move and have already announced another set of price increases for autumn in Germany and the other European markets. Manufacturers stressed that they have "no alternative" to price hikes in light of the cost situation. Given that pulp prices are expected to continue rallying, experts also anticipate more price increases are on the horizon in the woodfree coated segment, too.
