The slight weakening of demand for decor paper during the second quarter of 2018 has turned into a stronger downturn over the summer in various sales areas. According to various decor paper manufacturers and converters, the seasonal slump was exacerbated by the ramifications of deteriorating capacity utilisation in the laminate flooring industry, especially since July, and the ongoing downward trend on the Turkish market. In addition, business in the wood-based panel sector was gradually returning to normal, reducing demand for decor paper.
