Edelmann to acquire Elanders printing plant in China

Germany's packaging group Edelmann has signed a contract to acquire 100% of the shares in Elanders Beijing Printing. Elanders Beijing, which has been operating on the market since 2006, was lastly owned by Swedish Elanders AB. According to Edelman, the acquisition will allow the company to expand into the production of packaging solutions, primarily folding cartons and rigid boxes for the beauty care and consumer brands segments in China and is regarded as an addition to Edelmann's own production plant in Beijing, which currently serves the health care segment.
