Van de Velde takes over Bergische Kartonagenfabrik

Belgian packaging group P. Van de Velde will acquire all shares in German paperboard producer Bergische Kartonagefabrik Fritz Niessen. The seller is Coburger Kartonagenfabrik which has been active on the market together with Niessen Bergische Kartonagenfabrik since 1994. Bergische Kartonagenfabrik will continue to operate under its own name after integration. The company's current management will retain responsibility for day-to-day business operation, it is learnt. The company employs around 100 persons and specialises in producing cartons and board products for customers in the food as well as non-food sectors from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
