One of the Journal's most prolific writers is featured in this issue in the Distinctive Image series. While readers have often seen his many articles, few know Derek M. Slattery, APSA, EPSA, by sight for he rarely has had the opportunity to come to a Photographic Society of America (PSA) annual conference but he was in San Diego in 2001. Presently health conditions, for the most part, prevent Derek from much traveling of any kind.
