One common denominator between painting and photography (film or digital) is both mediums allow visions and emotions to be conveyed on canvas or photographic paper. But both artistic expressions have a major difference. When painting, the artist has complete control over the subject reproduced. Colors, shapes, textures, lines, time of the day, season of the year, subject placement, weather conditions, type of lighting; all these are controlled by brush and watchful eye. If a mistake is made, it can often be corrected.
