It's early in the two-year term but my mind is concerned with the seven divisions which presently sort out the interests of the over 5000 photographersrnof the Photographic Society of America (PSA). History tells us that first there was a "pictorial print" division and from there, PSA added, subtracted and altered the interest aspects of the members of the Society-and PSA grew. As photography has changed and continues to do so, PSA's Divisions must also change to keep current. Today PSA has seven interest areas: Color Projected Image; Electronic Image; Nature, Photo Travel; Photojournalism; Pictorial Print, and Stereo. Some members never worry a bit about Divisions (actually never noticed or pay no attention) but most members recognize that the activity of the Society is all based around PSA's Divisions.
