Pixels per inch do NOT affect the image's sharpness when viewing it on a monitor or seeing it projected, as long as the image is being shown at 100%. Pixels per inch resolution affects the sharpness for printed documents ONLY.rnA viewed image will look exactly the same size at 72 ppi or 300 ppi, because the images are displayed using the monitor's resolution which is measured only in pixels. Inches are imaginary on a monitor.
