The Nature Photography Experience in the Carolinas

Images of the eastern United States are not likely to be the vision that jumps into people's heads during a discussion of nature photography. Certainly, the west is better known with its share of grand landscapes and natural wonders. However, North and South Carolina provide a variety of subject matter that many nature photographers would be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.rnThe Carolinas offer a scenic variety, and a resulting faunal diversity, that will tease just about any photographer interested in capturing the infinite beauty of nature. There are the ancient and weathered mountains of the western portions of both states, the spectacularly scenic ribbon of sand known as the Outer Banks, the historic and marshy shoreline of South Carolina and all the natural areas in between.
