Independent Franchise Partners quits Mayfair for Portman Square

Independent Franchise Partners has become the latest hedge fund to leave the heart of Mayfair, by taking 6,500 sq ft at British Land's 10 Portman Square, The company will occupy space on the first floor, moving from Grosvenor and Stew's 20 Balderton Street on the other side of Oxford Street. The deal means the 113,700 sq ft building is now more than 75% let. Asking rents are thought to be around £90/sq ft. It will join asset management firm Arrowgrass, which signed to occupy the 18,534sq ft third floor in May, moving from the City's Tower 42. The building is also home to Aramco and Aspect Capital.
