Landlords 'prepare for worst' as BHS seeks rent cuts

Landlords have said they are "prepared for the worst" after BHS set out plans to slash rents across more than half its 164-strong estate including almost all its Scottish stores. The 40 stores where BHS is seeking the biggest cuts to rents include eight in Scotland and several in major regional cities, including Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, Newcastle, York, Sheffield and Manchester, according to documents released after BHS entered a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) last Thursday.
