Oxford Street revamp plans get green light

A huge chunk of Oxford Street is to be redeveloped into a landmark £300m office and retail scheme. The Freshwater family's Daejan Investments has received planning approval for a major regeneration that will revamp the east side of the central London shopping district. Westminster City Council has approved the demolition and redevelopment of six buildings on Oxford Street, Berwick Street and Wardour Street.
