Integrated sensing of civil and innovative FRP structures

摘要

Modern and innovative technologies, developed as part of ISIS Canada activities, are described. These technologies involve new building materials, comprising polymers and super-strong fibres, and innovative sensors incorporating fibre optics. It is argued that the ISIS technologies will pave the way to innovation as well as for rehabilitating and rejuvenating Canada's ageing and fast-crumbling infrastructure in a cost-effective manner. This paper chronicles the latest developments of ISIS technologies.
