摘要

Present paper describes the Hungarian Exper Loose part Detection Sysytem. This system is a fully digitized loose part detection system, which also records alarmed signals in digital form. HELPS utilizes several powerful data analysis methods (autoregressive modeling, sequential probability ratio test) in order to minimize the false alarm rate and maximize the sensitivity. The expert system built into HELPS also provdies a very reliable classification of observed events using very carefully selected descrptors specifically tuned to loose part signal identification.
