This resilience depends on an organization's ability to predict disruptions and the preparedness of the leadership to handle them. Predictability and preparedness are functions of data science in the data-driven world of today's digital business. Artificial Intelligence (AI) within data science is poised to play a crucial role in making sense of data, predicting disruptions, and assisting the leaders with business continuity. AI's deep learning engine (DLE) is a tool that learns from past decisions and subsequent consequences. This article discusses enhancing the DLE with human experience resulting in a business disruption prediction framework.
