Making IT outsourcing work for smaller enterprises

Small and midsize enterprises - those with fewer than 100 employees - make up 95 percent of all US companies, and they collectively employ more than a third of the country's workforce. For companies of this size - and for regional and branch offices of large companies - deciding whether to outsource IT services can be a daunting task. Does IT outsourcing make sense for smaller firms? Done wisely, it can lower costs, focus in-house staff and eliminate wasted capacity.
