If students aren't reading and frequenting libraries, how is it that classroom business, particularly the business of assignments, continues as usual? Clearly, it doesn't take rocket scientists to know that the Web has become the primary source of information for student assignments. And although many might wring their hands over this change, let's stop and examine this "downward" trend in a broader context.
